Before he'd been able to do anything, Rafi had flung himself into danger, then been carried out. Relief filled his heart, knowing that Rafi was save. But a pain blistered, knowing that Kioshi and Stokes were not. A feral growl erupted from his muzzle as Crevan got close. There was a black mist about him, and Kera could feel, in his bones, that he was going to let out his demon. But instead, Crevan rushed to Kioshi's healing body, still unconscious. This did not calm his furry. The wind suddenly picked up again, and cut the ground around Crevan's body. "Get away from her!" Kera snarled. The Beta was furious. His red eyes gleamed with the hate of thousands of suns, burning. It almost looked as if he would burst into flame as well. Kera was tired of this brute. "You think bursting in, all Gun ho and ready to unravel any chance you might have of being near her ever again will help!? Know your place!" He gnashed his white canines together. The wind picked up around them. It sliced at Kera's coat, trying to cut him, but failed to penetrate the barrier that seemed to be around he, Stokes, and Kioshi. He held no such standards for Crevan. He could not hold himself any longer. This male knew nothing about Kioshi, nor about the situation she was in. She'd played the scapegoat willingly. He watch her. She had a choice. She'd always had a choice.
His tails became a whip in the wind, fluttering about in strange motions, up, down, around, left, right, just like his fur. His black arm-stockings tried desperately to escape into the wind. In a lower, more deadly voice, coated in a gurgling beginning of another growl, Kera spoke once more to Crevan. "You know nothing; and unless you pay attention, you will only make the situation worse. Stop playing the antagonized hero, Crevan. There is more than just you, and what you think you know of her!" He held a steady glare, every hair on his body standing on end. His long fangs were barred. This was his last warning; he hadn't been chosen as the Beta for his charming personality.

{-Nyx-}
Light paw steps graced the muddy forest floor as a wolfess emerged from the bright green foiliage. She wore the same brown pelt that was customary to the clan - the markings along her mask, back and tail - were maroon - and her eyes were the normal red. Her head was low between her shoulder blades and her tail was arched over her back. Nyx's ears pricked as she looked over the wolven. "Shame on the lot of you." She said softly, looking at the scorched carcasses of Stokes and Kioshi, to the bent form of Crooked, to a snarling Kera, to the worried Aislin and Crevan. She then noticed a scowling Rafi, a bored Remi, and the comfortable pair of Aiden and Takala. They'd begun turning on their own clan mates. She walked softly into the light, throwing a glance at Nico. "I assume no one's came along to assist you in any way?" Nico shook her head. "No? Mm, didn't think so.. " Nyx glanced at Kera. "I understand that you've experienced many... interuptions.. However, that is no excuse to neglect your clan members. You assumed the role of beta while during.. the abense of an alpha. I'm sorry Kera, is there anything I can help you out with?" Ha, they all probably assumed she was crazy for approaching the seemingly feral beta. She barked, "Straighten up! The lot of you! The alpha position must be claimed as soon as possible. For the time being, until a more permanent decision is made, I elect Kera to exercise more control over us." Nyx's tone was considerate, and suggesting, rather than loud and commanding like Takala's. However, her current folly was the handling of Stokes and Kioshi.. She'd calm Kera down in due time, the fallen wolven were a more urgent priority. Nyx gazed around expectantly, her red eyes shimmering.

Remi was lost. Well, not the logical lost. Lost in thought more likely. So many questions that needed to be answered. 'Who killed my mother? Why did they do it? Why is everyone scared of things they don't know? Where is justice!?' Remi shook her head with anger. Why couldn't he thoughts just rest, and let her be normal again? Why was she thinking so much? She growled with a deep, sudden anger. She never noticed Kera's return or any of the things that had happened while she was blinded in thought. 'Why don't you go see whats going. What's the point in staying right here? Go find the one that killed her! Go kill them!' she thought. But, Remi refused to listen to her thoughts. She only stood a few yards away from the lot that was screaming about nonsense. 'Why, just kill in vain? There's no point. Where's the justice in that?' she argued with herself. 'Forget justice! Justice is lost! Justice is done! There's no point in thinking! Just do it!' her mind argued back. Remi growled even fiercer, more angry. Why could her mind just be quiet, just shut up. Shut up... Shut up...
Remi opened her bright blue, screaming anger roaring in their depths. Her fur was bristled and seemed to be blowing in no wind. She never noticed the breeze that seemed to stream off her pelt. Her fangs bared and she closed her eyes again, shaking her head madly. 'JUST DO IT!' Remi's eyes flashed open again, even more enraged. She raised her head, letting out an agonizing, yet furious scream. She shook her head again and backed up, as if trying to loosen her fur from something. She ran into a tree base, and flopped onto her bum. She growled before raising her head again. "Shut up! Leave me alone!" she cried with anger. She stood back up and ran forward, as if on a mad rampage. She skidded to a halt, realizing what she was doing. This was stupid! She probably looked like a fool, yelling and screaming in front of them for no reason. Well, the reason was only known by her. Her fur swished more violently as her anger grew. Why was she getting so angry? So violent? What was this!?
The brown wolf growled and shot a furious gaze at the group. Her fangs were bared, lips twitching. There was no reason for this anger. She turned her gaze off, her slitted eyes staring at nothing now. "Just shut up and leave me alone.." she muttered to the voice inside her head. Not them. Then something caught her eye. Stokes? She spun around, her fur still swishing with no wind. "WHAT the hell happened!?" she spat, lips twitching as she saw Stokes body. It was surrounded by flames, and an older wolf was laying beside him.
Remi took a step forward, then froze. Her eyes shot wide, lips still twitching. The silver wolf... Her previous dream flooded her mind. That wolf was... Kioshi? Remi blinked. Who was fighting her? Remi chocked up for a moment, her eyes twitching for a moment. She stepped back, fur now even more bristled. "No... It's too much... Too much!" she shouted, blue eyes wide. She turned and charged through the forest. She skidded to an almost stop, taking a turn for a tree. She sat down, panting. Why all this happening? First her thoughts, now Stokes being injured, and then the dream again? Why? Remi collapsed, eyes half closed. Instead of a small breeze, an aura of wind seemed to circle her, repelling anything that came close. The leaves in the trees above seemed to quiver, being blown by the wind. Slowly, very slowly, Remi began to calm down, her mind going empty. What... what had happened to get her so angry at herself? At others?
The pup closed her eyes slowly, her breathing becoming slow as if in sleep. But she wasn't, no. She was wide awake, mind clear and empty, all reasoning gone. What was going on? With Stokes? With her? With that silver wolf? Remi growled softly, clearing her mind again. No, she didn't want to think. Didn't want to feel. Remi laid there, motionless. Why bother moving again when she could easily snap at someone? Remi let out a sigh, slowly becoming vacant in her own right mind.

Crevan kinda growled and barred his fangs at Kera. He did not quite like this male nor this pack. They treated Kioshi as if she was a diesesed wolf. His ears were fully back and his lips were peeled up into a snarl. He stood up and over Kioshi's body and looked at Kera "I am no fucking Hero! I am trying to take care of someone that i care about!" Crevan roared. His attention went towards the other wolves and then back to Kera and snorted. He hated the fact that he had to do as he was told, if he didnt then there was no way that Crevan would be able to join the pack and stay with Kioshi. He lowered his head and then steped off over Kioshi and lowered his body some.
He looked at Kera and kinda growled. "I want to help her. I know how she can control Yoko, I have my own demon. I know how to control him as well. I can help her" he said as he stood there just looking at Kioshi's body. His ice blue eyes looked over her body. Something inside of Crevan made him just stand there and look at her body. He wanted to help but he wanted to join the pack so he could help Kioshi. He looked at Kera and kinda sighed some as he just stood there

Suddenly, the voice of Nyx flooded his ears. Kera's eyes flickered toward her, then back to Crevan. He had no time for her. Until she suggested he wasn't doing his job. A smile curled around his face as he looked back at her. But it was not the warm smile he gave, no, this was cruel, teeth bared to show their wolfish figures. This smile did not reach Kera's eyes. Honestly, it was very uncharacteristic of the low-key male. But he'd had enough, of everything. This day had been less than satisfactory. "Nyx," He growled, unable to calm himself. His red eyes gave off no "happy glow". "I...appriciate your offer...but in this situation...it's best if you leave this one," His nose point toward Crevan, then he turned back to Nyx, all the while trying to keep his voice as pleasant as possible. "To me, and just...stay back...that would help...alot..." Their was obvious concern for her, and everyone else's, safety. But it was also obvious that he was straining to keep his voice cool, and getting the right words out. If Crevan let loose his demon, because Kioshi was unconscious, there was nothing any of them would be able to do. Maybe.
Kera turned back to Crevan, hoping she's gotten the message. Because he wasn't allowed to say anything about Crevan's demon. The Elders had made it clear that if he found anyone else possessing a demon, to bring them straight to them. "Crevan," He had stopped restraining himself, and thus stopped with the smile. It was all business now. "The way that you can help her is if you just let her heal herself on her own. Do you really think Yoko will let her die? Exactly." He didn't what for a reply. "There is nothing you can do to help her if you let Daemon out. Nothing. It will only hurt her. Do you understand?" But Crevan continued speaking about he could control his demon. Kera snorted, disgusted. "It's obvious you can't from what I've seen, Crevan! Kioshi may not be able to 'control' her's either, but..." Kera looked down. He remembered a conversation he'd had with her after she'd been taken over for the first time. He'd asked her the same question...if she wanted to learn how to control it. She'd said she just wanted the other Clan members to find themselves at ease around her. So being able to control something like a demon would only put herself above them. Even if it meant being treated like dirt, she said then that she'd except it. She'd been trying to act tough, Kera knew, but he wasn't about to let all of his little sister's efforts go to waste. He turned to Nyx.
"Tell everyone in the camp that Stokes and Kioshi are fine. If they ask for a cause, it was because Stokes has realized what his element power is, but couldn't control it. Kioshi brought it on herself to stop it, and somehow doused the fires. Then, go find Rein, and tell her to come and inspect Stokes' wounds, if any." Kera didn't know if this was true, but it would stop other rumors about Stokes and Kioshi surfacing for the moment. Kera then turned back to Crevan. "She'll be fine. You come with me." He looked around, until he spotted Nice. "Nico!" He yelled. "You come with me as well." The wind around him a not ceased, but had come to a calmer point. Kera was still an absolute wreck, as far as emotions went. But Nyx had had a point; it was time he took care of his duties as Beta once and for all. "And Crevan," He said. "If you do not come quietly, I won't restraint myself any further. Then you really won't see her ever again." That was all he said as he trotted toward the edge of the camp. He didn't even notice Remi's own struggle...
It was like being in a dream. A strange and horrible dream. No, nightmare. Everyone was yelling. Wolves were whispering malicious things, burning her ears. A voice she recognized, but hardly knew, tried to protect her, but failed, and was flung into the darkness. She was coming to a conclusion that she hated, but had to except. Yoko's red eyes glared at her from the darkness in which the voice had been flung, the rest of her dreams blurry shadows. Another one of them were familiar, but it was yelling. And screaming. Kioshi's body still lay still, huddled around Stokes' smaller one, still protective. Her blue eyes refused to open. She hurt all over. Everything felt like it was on fire.

~Aiden~ His heart filled with pity for the young wolf pup. He was so small and yet he had to deal with more than Aiden had dealt with through the entire course of his life so far. He was dealing with problems beyond his comprehension, and yet seemed to know more than Aiden. This young pup should be romping around happily, wondering at the joys of puphood! Not wondering whether or not his brother and sister are dead through a force that is slightly uncontrollable and occasionally fatal! He looked down at the pup and wondered why this pup was chosen to have a life like this. He was perfectly pleasant and agreeable at times, so why him? His voice became gentle and comforting now.
"I know you're scared, it's okay. We're all scared for them."
~Aislin~ The wolfess's throat felt tight and heavy as she cried. It hurt her more and more every time just to breathe. She approached the formerly burning mound in the dirt. Her paws barely had enough energy to lift off of the ground. She was weak from growling and crying, she wasn't used to this much commotion. Adding to the pain, she realized her nose and her right front paw were burned from the fire. She was really starting to feel the sting of the burns not and she cringed every time she had to put pressure on her burnt paw. Slowly, she was able to make her way next the entwined bodies of the two wolves. She bent down and softly nudged Stokes's body.
"Stokes......Stokes honey, please.......please wake up.....please Stokes...."
She retracted, she wanted to move him so she could take a better look at him and see how badly he was hurt. She knew she mustn't move him though, that could provide for further injury. She wept bitterly at the feeling of helplessness that once again washed over her. A tear slid down her face and fell onto the seemingly lifeless body of Stokes. Crevan then moved in next to her and focused his attention on Kioshi. She looked up at him and studied his face. His facial expression was so full of love and understanding toward the thing she hated most. The reason behind it, she just couldn't fathom. She was snapped to attention by the sound of Kera growling. Poor Kera... She looked over at the beloved beta. He has to deal with the crisis while dealing with this outsider and a nagging Nyx! I can't see how he does it....he makes such a great leader... Even at this moment of terror and grief, she looked up at Kera with reverence. At least we have the best clan member as our leader at a time like this. She then shook her head solemnly as her thoughts went back to Stokes. She wanted to ask Kera what to do, how she could help. She knew though, that her talking to him at a time like this would only add the beta's chaos. She nudged Stokes once more. I just hope he remembers what's important at a time like this....

The aura of wind had finally stopped surrounding Remi. Clearing her head seemed to help her calm down. She sat up slowly, opening her eyes again. She shook herself and looked around, ears pricked. Where was everybody, anyway? Slowly, the weak pup stood and padded out of the forest. She paused at the edge, her fur rumpled and draggy looking. She blinked, seeing that everyone was still surrounding Stokes. She looked at Aislin. Surely she'd notice her? But alas, she was too caught up in her injured brother. She sighed and padded, very slowly, over to her. She gazed down at Stokes, her heart swelling. It seemed she wasn't the only one going through a hard time. Her fur seemed to stir again as she began to think of what might have happened to him. Remi shook her head, figuring it was best not to think right now.
Remi's blue gaze traveled up to Aislin. Her gaze swept over the small group and her ears flattened. She figured she wouldn't even be noticed. Usually, she wouldn't care if people were looking at her or not. But right now, she wasn't truly herself. Her mind was twisted and confused, and all she wanted was comfort. She looked up to see Kera and Crevan leave camp. She sighed softly and backed up, looking at the group again.
The brown pup padded slowly away from the group. She paused and looked around, tail hanging limp behind her exhausted body. "Where do I go now?" she whispered, eyes dark with emptiness. She closed them slowly, lowering her head. Shoulders hunched, she sat down, head still hanging. Her tail wrapped around her back legs as she sat alone by the edge of the green trees. What else was there to do?

The demon's spirits danced furiously in the eye of Crooked. His blinded one, or so it would seem. He watched soundlessly as they became uprooted in more places than one. The fires and wind crashed into each other as anger and rage seeped into the air. It was now that Crooked could very well feel the chaos in the world around him. His face was solemn as he closed his orbs to he smog and dirt which swirled about the camp in a vivid display of fear. He sighed, feeling the winds settle against his pelt and the char resting in his nose. Flaring his tail he stared with his one good eye carefully, watching many of the tense emotions unravel almost everyone now. He leaned his cranium against the tree which the pups had darted under. Eyes focused on Kera now he watched him diligently.
Despite the utter hatred in his voice being masked by restraint, his head seemed to be the clearest out of all of them. He always knew Kera was strong willed, except the outsider..the outcast seemed to be drawing on his last nerve. Crooked snorted, yet said nothing. His paws brushing against the earth as he stood on all fours slowly, trailing Kera and the outcast loner as they left for the elders. Crooked grimaced, he didn't particularly like the male finding him rather irritating and stubborn; if he were still part of the group he would not accept the male as part of the clan. He was not worthy of such honor. Bending his back up as it creaked and cracked with his old age he shook himself free of the clotted dust on his pelt.
He sighed, watching Remi seek love, affection, though she seemed to find none. Crooked's eyes trailed from Kioshi and Stokes back to the little one. He felt her inner demon twisting and warping itself around her fragile mind. He could see it's aura. He would not allow her to be entrapped to such a vile creature. His paws cautiously resting against the earth as he trotted toward her, his age keeping him back he rested himself before her, eyes lurching over her as he leaned down toward her. His muzzle nuzzling her softly. "The only place to go is where your heart tells you to." He smiled gently toward her, eyes watching her as he cooed.

The small breeze that was blowing - naturally, not from her - seemed to make her mind slip away. Let her rest, letting her be vacent. Her fur swished softly, her ears tilting forward and bobbing back with the breeze. Slowly, Remi opened her eyes, blinking slowly. Usually, she was stronger in mind than this. Why was she so upset about the littlest of things? As she began to calm down again, a soothing, old voice made it's way into her tired ears.
The brown pup raised her head, ears tilted to the side. Her gaze showed her exhaustion as she looked at Crooked. She took in his kind move, nuzzling her. That was a show of kindness and comfort. He... he was paying attention to her? And more than that, he had answered the question that she herself couldn't. Slowly, Remi's heart began to warm up at the old wolf's kindness. "You're right, Crooked." she said softly, her voice kinder than it had been for a while. She stood slowly, seeing his kind smile.
Remi padded forward and sat at the old wolfs paws. She leaned gently against one of his legs, closing her eyes. Someone was willing to show her kindness and attention, and she would accept it with her own hidden kindness. Her mind seemed to be at rest right now, and that made her act more like herself. "Thank you." she murmured, ears still tilted to the side. She felt that this elder was the only one there with her, with everyone else far away. And honestly, she didn't mind.

Crooked gently smile turned to a tender grin, his eyes soft as he watched Remi warm up to him. He could see the exhaustion, confusion and pain in her eyes. The poor thing, having to try and overcome a powerful demon which sat dormant in her small frame; patient as could be. He watched the small pup pad toward him, he felt her touch against his leg, he grunted gently like an old wolf would, rubbing his gruff cheek against the small female's back, tenderly licking the back of her neck as he nuzzled her. "There's no need to thank me dear Remi, you simply asked a question that I could answer." He smiled, keeping his deep voice low and soft so that he might not scare her.
His remaining paw curled in toward his body; keeping Remi tucked neatly into his legs and chest his ears flicking back softly as his wet nose nudged her softly. "You'll do great things one day Remi, just like your mother had done in the past; you will be a beautiful young female before you can realize it. So long as you follow what your heart demands." He smiled his genuine crooked smile toward her, blood red orbs calm and sweet for the sake of the pup. I can already see you going far in life. He kept his voice low leaning against his curled paw with his cranium he made sure that the angled wind flew against only his skull not disturbing the small cuddling pup in between his arms.

Remi's blue eyes remained closed, her tail wrapped around herself. She could hear the old wolfs breathing, and feel his muzzle against her back. She felt calm and relaxed for the first time in a long time. She opened her eyes slowly as Crooked spoke again. A small smile crossed her face, eyes blinking slowly. She sighed softly, relieved that her mind wasn't wandering like it had been before. It was those moments that seemed to get her worked up the most.
The pups eyes shifted to look at Crooked's paw as he moved it. She realized he was taking the cool wind to his side and head, protecting her from the gust. She smiled softly and looked up as he spoke again."Thank you, Crooked." she said softly. She slipped her front legs from under her slowly, laying at his angled paws. She tucked her nose under one of them for a moment, before looking up at the elder with sad eyes. "Crooked... You know what happened to my mother, don't you? Will you tell me?" she said slowly, almost like a plead. She sighed softly and leaned her head on his chest.

Woosh Air filled Stoke's lungs. It was like the first breath he had ever taken. His first entrance into the world. The breath was cold, and yet made him warm after the chill passed. The oxegyn fulled him, but not in the same way it had perviously. Is now fed the fire that made him live. The cold made him hotter, the heat made him feel better. Woosh. Another breath. Had he exhaled? He couldn't remember. Everything was blurry, fuzzy around the edges and spinning. He did not open his eyes. He did not want the spining to get worse, or to face the new world. The seemingly angry hectic world. What was going on? What was happening? So much confusion.... Woosh. Antoher breath. But there was something wrong? Doesnt breathing go two ways? Stokes tried to exhale, to see if he could. Sigh. Cold! It let the heat out and he was cold again. He couldnt tell but his breath out had brought a small flame to burst from his mouth. Woosh. Woosh. Inhale. Dont exhale. That was all he could think about. Breath, Stokes, breath. He had to tell himself this, but not for long. He soon picked up the one way patern. Odd, but the warming sensation was too incredible to let go of again.
What had happened? Why was everything so... different? He felt something protecting him... something warm... yet cold next to him. What was it? He could put it off no longer. He openeing his eyes.
With a flicker and a squint, a quick adjustment, he saw. He saw, yet he saw differently. His first glance was beside him. Is was a silver wolf... he knew her. This was his sister... Kioshi! What happened? Was this his doing? After seeing this he looked to the rest. he saw more of the pack, but again he saw them differently. They looked the same... but he could feel them to. Almost like he could detect teh heat being generated from their forms. What a strange sensation... seeing without your eyes.
Yet the eyes saw much. The confusion, the panic. What was this? This world had changed. How long was he blind to the mayhem? He moved his ears to hear, hear the angry, sad, worried voices. One especially directed to him.
It was his sitter. AIslin. She was nice. She was worried, he felt bad for her. Maybe she would tell him what had happened? Why his sister was in such a state... his thoughts were still fuzy however and he could nto remember how to move, or what to think. This world was so... so strange and new... and he felt he should be panicing with the rest, but couldn't find himself able to.
Stokes lay there, his eyes weakly open, and his breathing only moving in one direction. WOuld anyone notice the change aside from him? Maybe thats what the panic was about...?

~Aislin~ Life! She sighed heavily as she witnessed the pup's breathing. She closed her eyes and and gratefully received the waves of relief that swept over her then. He was going to be alright, he was going to be alright! She opened her eyes as she felt a sudden bit of warmth. Not much, just a breeze, but was that a spark by Stoke's mouth? She dismissed it, it was probably nothing.
"Kera! Kera, he's breathing! He's awake and everything!"
Her focus then went back to the pup who was gazing down at his still unconscious sister. Her anger towards the female lessoned at that moment. She realized that she really had saved his life, and for that she was grateful. He seemed confused and a bit disoriented, but he was alive. She stooped down and licked his cheek.
"Stokes? Are you okay?"
